“Following my graduation in 1967 I stayed in touch with the Delta Chapter along with Doc Smith who was a fixture at the House. Doc was an older Delt, kind of a father figure, I am not sure when he was a student but he truly loved the House and dedicated much of his time and advice. During the 80s I served as a Chapter Advisor and Doc was a great help to me; however, he decided he would begin phasing out of fraternity service. I decided to honor doc for all his service to the fraternity, much thought was given to what would be a proper send off and it was decided we would commission Milton Kemnitz, a renowned Ann Arbor artist, to do a print of the Delt House and present Doc with the signed original. This was accomplished; I kept the number 1 print for myself .”
